Over 500 attorneys will participate in the Annual Women Everywhere Community
Service Day. Attorneys will take their many talents and put them to use as volunteers
for one of 30 different agencies. Attorneys will be planting gardens, building
playgrounds, painting waiting rooms, organizing supply closets and providing cooking
classes. Other attorneys will be giving seminars regarding Orders of Protection.
It is one thing to represent a person in an Order of Protection Hearing, and quite
another to demonstrate for a group how to write a petition to ensure that it is
heard and granted if the situation warrants it. Our volunteers will be ready to
do whatever it takes to make the day a success. You can sign up individually
and meet new friends or your firm can sponsor one of the agencies and "adopt"
it. When you adopt an agency, you bring all the supplies and woman power to carry
out the task that the organization is looking to have completed. Needless to say,
we are always looking for firms to adopt agencies. It is a great way to interact
with your colleagues on a whole new level and and to have a good time discussing
something other than your case load. There is also the benefit of interacting
with the people from the agency itself. The possibilities are endless as to the
task you will be performing. Encourage a friend to come with you and you'll know
